The new FLEXtra SLIM SPE switch enables the compact and efficient connection of up to four SPE devices over distances of up to 1000 m - including power supply via two wires (PoDL).
Efficient SPE communication in minimal space
With a width of just 24 mm, the new SPE switch is ideal for control cabinets with limited space. Typical areas of application are in decentralized automation, for example in machines with remote operating units, sensors or actuators. Thanks to compact IEC-63171 SPE sockets and PoDL support with up to 8.4 W per connection (Class 10-12), the FLEXtra SLIM SPE switch significantly reduces both cabling and installation costs.
Four SPE ports and two RJ45 Gigabit ports
The switch has four SPE ports with 10Base-T1L technology and two additional RJ45 ports with 100/1000 Mbps. This allows classic Ethernet components to be seamlessly networked with the SPE structure - without any protocol breaks or additional gateways. Commissioning is carried out via Plug & Play, no configuration is required.
Future-proof integration right down to the end device
Single Pair Ethernet enables end-to-end Ethernet communication right down to field level - from the controller to the sensor. The FLEXtra SLIM SPE switch is therefore an important building block for end-to-end IIoT structures in industrial applications. It fully supports all common Ethernet protocols.
