All PROFINET elements, 44 servo motors with integrated drives, 4 valve terminals and the remote IO, are connected to the managed PROFINET switches of protection class IP67 via M12 technology.
Since a lot of technology had to be integrated in a small space, it was decided to place the PROFINET elements including the switches as decentralized as possible. The 44 servo motors with integrated drives, the 4 valve terminals and the remote IO are all decentralized and designed in IP67.
All these PROFINET elements are connected via M12 technology to the managed PROFINET switches with IP67 protection class from Helmholz. These switches are certified by PI. They can be easily integrated into the hardware configuration of the PLC and thus provide optimum functionality.
